Do you want to help others while helping yourself? The University of Ottawa’s Michaëlle Jean Centre for Global and Community Engagement is partnering with the English Intensive Program to offer students the opportunity to get involved in the community. Come find out how helping others and making a positive change in our society will benefit you personally, socially and professionally.

Objectives of the workshop: In this workshop participants will:

-Define volunteering;

-Identify the benefits of getting involved in the community;

-Become more aware of the importance of gaining work experience while living abroad;

-Learn more about the Ottawa Food Bank volunteering opportunity and other social engagement possibilities.

Intended audience: Current EIP students, open to all levels. Attendance is mandatory for students who want to join the volunteering outing on May 26.
